NISSAN REPORTS APRIL 08 SALES IN EUROPE
ROLLE, Switzerland (May 15th, 2008) - Nissan has reported 45,250 sales in Europe in April, representing a decrease of 5.7% year on year. A total of 229,634 units have been sold to date this year, up 38% on the previous year.
Key highlights

Nissan’s 4x4 line-up collectively gained 700 units (+7%) over last year with its Pathfinder, X-TRAIL, Patrol, Navara and Murano models, despite industry challenges.

Russia and the Ukraine performed strongly with 13,096 (+13%) and 1,709 units (+77%) respectively.

Infiniti has sold 2,274 units year to date, up 108% versus the same period last year in Russia and the Ukraine, as it prepares for its European launch later this year.

In April, the Qasqhai compact cross-over model sold 10,313 units in April, up 12.1% versus last year. The order bank remains in excess of 60,000 units.
